Ruth is a trustee of GlobalARRK. She is a senior lecturer in family and child law at the University of Manchester, UK. She has worked with research projects and related activities of GlobalARRK since 2017. She has previously acted as a member of the advisory committee and worked on the project developing advice for children caught up in the legal process associated with child abduction. Her research has focused on the implications of cross-border family life and the law relating to child abduction and relocation of families with children. She is an expert on the case law and approach of the courts to decisions in relating to child abduction, and on family law in England and Wales.
