Kim is a Trustee of GlobalARRK and, as well as supporting parents directly, is Research Coordinator. Kim found herself in the middle of an international family law dispute which was thankfully resolved over a decade ago. Knowing that many parents are not so fortunate, she decided to build a new career to enable her to help other Stuck Parents especially those who are suffering from domestic abuse. She is now a lawyer and specialises in international family law and domestic abuse. In addition, Kim is working towards a PhD, researching the Hague Abduction Convention and the devastating effect it can have on victims of domestic abuse. Her main goal is to help Stuck Families understand and navigate the complex international family law system to help them achieve the safest possible outcome for all parties and to raise awareness of the potential issues parents may face when deciding to have, or raise, children in countries other than their own.
